Creating a list like a Minimalist

If you’re like me, you value all the hours of the day. I thought if I did 20 things a day, I would feel more accomplished and have more time for fun. Instead I felt extremely exhausted and frustrated. I was ready to either get a personal assistant (then my bank account said “No” ) or no sleeping. Since I like saving money and getting my beauty rest, these things were not an option for me.

So what’s next ? Research. I spend an entire week reading and trying exercises that suppose to help me be more productive. I ended up with over 5 different calendars (even for my hair), although I still use the calendars today (reminders), it was still a bit much.

I was listening to one of my favorite podcast and they talked about doing 3 important task of the day. I thought to myself, that’s not enough. So one day, I felt completely over whelmed and decided to try this new method. I made a calendar reminder, that would alert me first thing in the morning of my 3 MIT(3 MOST IMPORTANT TASK) of the day. I found myself feeling less stressed and ready to take on the day. I enjoyed writing my short list because I knew that I could complete it.

I urge you to try it for yourself. I know that your going to reap the positive benefits of getting the important things done first. I can’t wait to hear how it has worked for you.

Always remember to keep things simple.

Bonus:

Using a time tracking application like Toggl can also be beneficial.
